District outreach programme had 42 doctors attending; the event started with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony and paying our respect to the senior members of OSWB.
Five speakers spoke on topics like neuro-ophthalmology, glaucoma, uvea and retina, with relevant discussions for comprehensive ophthalmologists.
The chairpersons for this event were Dr Samir Roy and Dr Manoj Hajra; the co-chairpersons were Dr R.C.Paul and Dr Rakesh Gupta. Panellists for the session were Dr Debashis Das, Dr Sivaji Sarkar, Dr Sandip Saha, Dr Pravin Ray, Dr Sudipta Mitra and Dr Smriti Sonthalia.
The event was moderated by Dr Arita Chattoraj and coordinated by Dr Priyansha Chatterjee.
Dr Bratin Manna spoke on “Unexplained vision loss explained”, and Dr Krishna Kanta Roy spoke on “Managing endophthalmitis for general ophthalmologists”. Dr Avirupa Ghose spoke on “Immunosuppressive in uveitis” then Dr Mrinmoy Dey presented the techniques for overcoming current challenges in diabetic eye disease. “With biosimilars abundantly available- has DME treatment burden been optimised?” was presented by Dr Arnab Das and a very interesting and practical discussion followed.
Our Hony. Secretary announced the various sub-committee activities of OSWB with a vote of thanks from our Hony President and other senior members. The programme was concluded, followed by dinner.
