District outreach programme had a total of 35 doctors attending the event, which started with paying our respect to the senior members of OSWB.

Nine speakers spoke on variety of topics like cornea, refractive, glaucoma, uvea, and retina with relevant discussions for comprehensive ophthalmologists.

Chairpersons for this event were Dr Ratish Ch Paul and Dr Manoj Hajra, Co- chairpersons were Dr Sekhar Nath Sarkar and Dr Debashis Das. Panelists for the session were Dr Arup Das, Dr Meghnad Bhowmik, Dr D.B. Sarkar, Dr Santanu Ganguly, Dr Parna Deb Roy, Dr. Manisha Madhab Choudhary.

The session was moderated by Dr Swarup Kumar Roy.

Dr Rima Chakraborty spoke on VKC, Dr Sushmita Majhi spoke on a case of CRAO, Dr Abhay Anand Gupta spoke on his approach to a case of corneal ulcer, Dr Sushmita Paul spoke on glaucoma and ocular HT, Dr Supratik Banerjee spoke on achieving quiet eye after cataract surgery, Dr Sneha Batra spoke on decoding myopia, Dr Deepak Agarwal shared his experiences in handling difficult RD surgeries, Dr Somnath Chakraborty shared his insights on management of post op endophthalmitis and finally Dr Swarup Roy mesmerised us with some wonderful and soulful singing.

Our Hony secretary announced about the various subcommittee activities of OSWB and with a vote of thanks from our Hony President and other senior members. The programme was concluded with dinner.

We successfully enrolled 10 new life members for OSWB during this outreach meeting.
