Madarihat is again another remote jungle area in Jaldapara Forest Reserve. The typical presentation of the village population not exposed to have any access to eye hospitals or vision centers anywhere nearby. Our OSWB team meticulously served the people here. The total number of patients was 47, with 28 males and 19 females, with the age group between 30 and 71. Operable cataracts were diagnosed in 8 patients. Refraction was done, and free spectacles were assured to all patients. Dr. Meghnad Bhowmik coordinated the program along with his team of Vision Care in Alipurdurar for the entire camp. The team included Mr Sagar Chakraborty, Papai Dey, Jhuma Paul, and Rahul Rabidas, apart from our OSWB members visiting the site. Our Society remains ever indebted to everyone involved in this venture.
