Scientific Committee, Ophthalmological Society of West Bengal organised a Cornea Symposium called " Colours of Cornea " on 5th May, 2024, Sunday in Kolkata from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. at Raajkutir, Swabhumi, Kolkata.

The Guest Lectures were by Dr Geetha K Iyer (Recent Advances in Management of Ocular Chemical Injuries), Dr Bhaskar Srinivasan (Peri-operative Management of Dry Eye Disease), Dr Geetha K Iyer (The Blink Meet) and, Dr Rishi Swarup (Nuances of DALK).

The Speakers were Dr Subhra Sil (Ocular Complications of PKDL in India), Dr Anik Das (The Surprise in Surface), Dr Ashis Majumdar (The Itch of Ichthyosis), Dr Tuhin Chowdhury (Auto SLET – The Hope in the Horizon), Dr Kushal Chaudhuri (The Cover Story), Dr Nibedita Das (The Double Dilemma – B/L Keratitis), Dr Debopriya Chatterjee (Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde – Post CXL Keratitis), Dr Sumanta Bera (The Prank of Prawn), Dr Rajsekhar Paul (The Three Masqueraders), Dr Aditya Pradhan (Cryptic Keratopathy), Dr Sagar Bhargava (Approach to Cataract Surgery in Post Refractive Surgery Patients), Dr Mona Bhargava (Cataract Surgery in Corneal Scars), Dr Sumana Chatterjee (It’s gone Viral), Dr Soham Basak (Push The Limits – DMEK in Challenging Situations) and Dr John Sarkar (DSEK in ICES & Post DMEK).

The Panelists were Dr Geetha K Iyer, Dr Bhaskar Srinivasan, Dr Tuhin Chowdhury, Dr Aditi Johri, Dr Archana Khaitan, Dr Mrinal Kanti Ghosh, Dr Arunava Kundu, Dr Keshab Halder, Dr Sugato Paul, Dr Sagar Bhargava, Dr Sudipta Mitra, Dr Arup Bhowmik, Dr Bhaskar Srinivasan, Dr Rishi Swarup, Dr Kushal Chaudhuri and Dr Mona Bhargava.

The Chairpersons were Dr Sanjay Chatterjee, Dr Bhaskar Roy Choudhuri, Dr Subhasish Nag, Dr Kajal Prosad Ghosh, Dr Pushpita Sahu, Dr Parag Mukhopadhyay, Dr Md. Yasin, Dr Sekhar Nath Sarkar, Dr Sanjay Chatterjee, and Dr Tuhin Chowdhury.

The program was targeted for the general ophthalmologists of West Bengal. It was a star-studded program by the top consultants of this field from different part of India, namely Dr Bhaskar Srinivasan, Dr Geetha K Iyer, and Dr Rishi Swarup. Also, there were top cornea consultants from our local faculty to harmonize the whole program. The whole program was well orchestrated by Dr Sumana Chatterjee and Dr John Sarkar with able support from team OSWB. A total of 75 delegates graced the symposium.
