DISTRICT OUTREACH MEETING OF MURSHIDABAD

Venue: Hotel The Fame, Berhampore

District Outreach Programme had a total of 40 doctors attending, the event started with presenting the Presidential Medal to our Hony. President Dr R. C. Paul and paying our respect to the senior members of Ophthalmological Society of West Bengal.

The first session was chaired by Dr U. Sinha Chowdhury, Dr N. C. Kundu and Dr Sabyasachi Bandopadhyay. The session included presentations by young fellows and PGTs. Dr Vineet Kumar presented on Applanation Tonometry, Dr Asmita Basak presented on Gonioscopy, Dr Sk Ziarul presented on Indirect Ophthalmoscopy, Dr Saubhik Chattopadhyay presented on Slit Lamp Bio microscopy, Dr Sumit Kr Biswas presented on YAG PI, Dr Shama Parveen presented on Yag Capsulotomy and Dr Pramita Dutta presented on Retinal Lasers.

The second session was chaired by Dr Debashis Das, Dr R. C. Paul, and Dr Bipul Kanti Majumdar. Dr Diptesh Das presented his skill sets on Managing Runaway Rhexis, Dr Souvick Dan presented on Surgery Induced Dry Eye Disease, Dr Koushik Sarkar presented on Subluxated Cataract, Dr Ankita Raj presented on Complete Dry Eye Management, Dr Romana Fazal presented on Tangled Racemose Haemangioma and last but not the least Dr Arif Md Rohan presented on Sudden Bilateral Blindness in a child due to Uncommon Aetiology and a very interesting and practical discussion followed.

New OSWB life memberships were done on spot for the new fellows and PGTS. Our Hony. Secretary announced about the various sub committee activities of OSWB and with a vote of thanks from our Hony President and other senior members.
