Ophthalmological Society of West Bengal Celebrates Basanta Utsav

Venue: Farm house of Past President Dr. Ratish Paul, at Madanpur, Kalyani

Date: 24th & 25th March 2024

On 24th March 2024, a team of 9 OSWB members set out from OSWB office by a Tempo Traveller bus towards Madanpur, around 3.00 pm. On reaching Madanpur, coconut water and other refreshments were served, and we were allotted our rooms. A fun filled evening with Barbeque, folk song and a sumptuous dinner followed. Few more local OSWB members too joined us. The total number of attendees for the evening was 23.

On 25th, early morning boat ride on the river Ganges came as a pleasant surprise. Platter of fruits with chat was so fulfilling. The morning breakfast was so delicious that it goes without saying. The pond side was waiting for us to play in the colours of Holi. We had a joyous spirit of playing Holi, colouring each other. The total number of attendees were 19. After a sumptuous lunch we left for our homes at around 4.30 pm in the evening. Each one of us carried back fruits from the trees in the farm garden. OSWB celebrated Basanta Ustab for the first time in full swing with their own members. This memory will always spring in our hearts and the colours will ever remain in our hands.
