A comprehensive eye screening camp in collaboration with Taltala Unnyan Samity Club screening 123 patients from the residential areas of Bansdroni and Garia was done by the Community Ophthalmology Subcommittee of Ophthalmological Society of West Bengal on 3rd December 2023. Forty-two spectacles were donated, free medicines were distributed and 15 cataracts had been segregated for surgery. The camp was inaugurated by Mr Sabyasachi Basu, who came down from the United States for multiple charitable activities around the city.
